We met like most people tend to do these days: over a dating app.
After a little back and forth texting, we decided to meet at Sly Fox in Malvern.
That encounter led to many other dates out and about in Chester county, Philadelphia, and eventually, Ciara’s family’s home country of Ireland, where with the gracious help of Ciara’s sister Aisling, I proposed to Ciara at the scenic location of Sliabh Liag (pronounced Sleeve League), a mountain on the Atlantic coast of County Donegal, Ireland. At one point in our descent down the mountain side, Aisling helped pick out a beautiful view of the Giant’s Table and Chair, and after getting Ciara to pose for a thousand pictures (not that hard to do), I popped the question.

For someone that doesn’t deal with heights well, to say that that was the moment that I was most nervous in my life was a huge understatement! But thankfully, she said YES! We then went to the local pub, the Rusty Mackerel, to celebrate (and so I could take a couple shots to come back down to earth!!!)
So we’ve been engaged since August 6th, 2021, and our wedding date is set for December 30, 2022 at the Desmond!
